Born Liliane Marie Madeleine Carré, she appeared in French, British, and German motion pictures from 1921 to 1928. She made her debut in America with "The Rescue" in 1929. She was married to actor Errol Flynn from 1935 to 1942 and was the mother of photographer Sean Flynn. Other films include: "Scandal in Paris" (1929) and "Fighting Caravans" (1931). She retired in 1935 and eventually moved to Palm Beach, Florida. While living there she met a retired Fort Dodge, Iowa, dairy owner by the name of Albert Loomis.
