Gladys Edna Bolen, 86, of Chrisman Route 3, died at 9 pm Sunday (March 3, 1996) at Union Hospital in terra Haute, Ind.
She was born July 10, 1909, in Horace, ill. the daughter of John C. and Zelpha E. Miller Porter. She was married to Carl L. Bolen April 9, 1928, in Rockville, Ind. He preceded her in death March 18, 1981. She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Leta Ann) Ingram of Chrisman Route 2, Mrs. Don (Lois) Wood of Chrisman, and Mrs. Phil (Kay) McConchie of Chrisman Route 2; four brothers, Ken Porter of Paris, Ill., Kerm Porter of Chrisman Route 3, Clellan "Bug" Porter of Chrisman Route 2, and Harold Porter of rural Hillsdale, Ill.; three sisters, Catherine Jenkins, Janie Bonwell and Norma Jean Dailey, all of Chrisman Route 2; two grand-daughters, Jill (Stew) Finchum of Georgetown and Carla (Bob) Sinclair of Paris, Ill; three grandsons, Dennis (Dianna) Ingram of Chrisman, Jeff Wood of Chrisman, and Mark McConchie of Paris; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter and two brothers.
She was a homemaker. She attended Chriman United Methodist Church.
Services: 1:30 pm Wednesday at Sutton 7 Son Funeral Home in Paris; Officiating: Rev. Tim Shaw; Burial: Hoult Cemetery near Chrisman; Visitation: 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home; Memorials: American Heart Association or charity of donor's choice.
