A longtime Sprinsfieldian, Mr. Hankins moved to Lone Pine four years ago. A retired fruit and vegetable dealer here, he was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are a son, E.E. Hankins; stepson, James Frazier; and three daughters, Mrs. John K. Hope, Mrs. Louise Triplett Smith, and Mrs. Ethel Cockrell. Other survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Carrie Hartline; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a niece.
The body was returned to Springfield.
