Born in Dziekanstwo, Poland (near Opole). Emigrated with parents at age 4 in 1869 to Long Prairie, MN.

Married John William Bush on 7/4/1885 in Morrison county and with him had 5 sons - Charles b. 1887, Edward b. 1890, Leslie b. 1892, Richard b. 1894, and Leonard b. 1912.

She and John started their family in Gull River (a sawmill town in Cass county just east of Baxter - it no longer exists) and were living in Brainerd by 1895.

Her son, Leslie "Bullet Joe" Bush, played pro baseball from 1912 - 1928 and pitched in 5 World Series.

Husband John was apparently separated from Maggie by 1930, died in his cabin in Walker, MN, 30 Jan 1935 and is buried in Motley with his first wife.
