Portia Mae Bull was born in Desdemona, Eastland Co, Tx, daughter of George Washington Bull and Ann Elizabeth McCormick Bull. Portia married William Fuller Harris October 8, 1893 in Carbon, Eastland County, Texas. They were the parents of Eight children; Leona Lee, James Willis, Irene, Olive Opal, Annie Mae, Ethel Cordell, George B, and Mary Hannah Harris.
Refer to the 1930 Census of Gregg County, Portia May Brown age 52 widow, with her daughter Mary H Harris, 13 years old, and George Harris 17 years old. Also Portia May Brown's death Certifcate is attached to this memorial, someone in her family buried her with the name Harris on the tombstone, on the 1930 census it says she was a widow of Brown.
