Dorothy A. Collette, 79, Brainerd, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at her home of cancer.

She was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Cushing to John and Nellie Fox. She married Wilbur Collette on June 28, 1941. She graduated from Little Falls High School and The Minnesota School of Business. She worked for John's Place and Donaldson's in Minneapolis and retired to Brainerd. She was a member of St. Francis Church and Mary Margaret guild. She was past president of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of the VFW degree of honor.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Berhow, Farmington; a son, Brian Collette, Sun Valley, Idaho; three grandchildren; three brothers, Edward, Herbie and Marvin; and two sisters, Evelyn Hanzel and Audrey Fox.

Her husband and a brother, Harold Fox, died earlier.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home of Brainerd from 5-7 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
