Jacob Poll
Lorain, O., June 11. - Jacob Poll, aged seventy-four, passed away at 12:15 a.m., Sunday, at his home at stop 48, after an illness of nine weeks. He buried his wife seven years ago, and was employed at the B. and O. shop for thirty-four years as yard foreman. He came to this country at Avon with his parents when a child, and moved to Lorain thirty-six years ago. He leaves one daughter, Alvin Weigel, of Idaho City, Idaho, two grandchildren, Mrs. Frank Laps, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Edward M. Weiler, who resided with him, one brother, Mike Poll, of Sandusky.

He was a pioneer member of St. Joseph's church in Lorain and was active in church affairs. Burial will be made at nine a.m. Wednesday from the church with Rev. Fr. Reichlin officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot at Calvary cemetery.
