Hester A. "Hetty" Counsellor was born December 10, 1834 in Fishkill, Dutchess, New York, USA.
Her father was John Counsellor.
She had a brother, James H. Counsellor (1829 – 1896).

The surname has various spellings, including Councillor; the usual spelling is Counsellor.

The 1840 U.S. Federal Census shows the family residing in Williamson, Wayne, New York.
The 1850 U.S. Federal census shows 18-year-old Hetty residing in Lyons, Wayne, New York.
However, the 1860 U.S. Federal Census shows Hetty residing in New York with her sister, Martha Counsellor:

Daniel Bayless, Jr. was buried March 1 1900 in the campground
cemetery in Lee, per his death certificate. This is located in Warner Camp, and the name of the cemetery is Saints Cemetery.
However, so far the grave sites for Daniel Bayless, Jr. and his wife Hester Counselor Bayless have not been located in either Saints Cemetery or Lee Township Cemetery. This search is still in progress.

Died Suddenly

Mr. D. Bayless, of Grand Junction, who lately lived near the Law school house, died suddenly at his home Tuesday morning. He was usually well on retiring Monday night but on attempting to rise he sank back on the bed and expired. He leaves a wife.
The funeral was held from the residence Thursday afternoon.

(2) From the South Haven Messenger 9 March 1900:

Grand Junction
Mr. Daniel Bayless, who died at the camp ground the fore part of last week, was buried there, Sunday, S. Michels preaching the funeral sermon. He was a pensioner.

(3) From the South Haven Messenger19 July 1901:Died

Mrs. Hester, widow of the late Daniel Bayless, died at the Old People's Home Saturday, aged 66 years. The funeral was held at Grand Junction, Monday, and the body was laid beside that of her husband.
