Lylla H. Nelson, age 76, resident of Brainerd, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany. Lylla was born in Brainerd on April 14, 1935, to Hans and Clara (Peterson) Nelson. She is a retired seamstress. Lylla enjoyed oil painting, reading, traveling and cooking.
Survivors include her brother, Orel Nelson, of Brainerd; sisters, Shirley Nelson and Darlene Nelson, of Brainerd; nieces, Jeanette Anderson, Deanna Nelson, Debra Klabo, Vicki Miller, all of Brainerd, Autumn Heppner, of Wadena; nephew, Randy Nelson, of Brainerd.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hans William Nelson; her mother, Clara Sina Nelson; and her brothers, Homer, Nate, Alvin and Fred.
Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Jake Heppner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Visitation will be held the hour before services.
