She was born Jan. 15, 1938 at Bonnieville, KY to the late Jesse and Mary Elizabeth Gonterman Hornback, a homemaker and member of Farmdale Baptist Church, Louisville.
Also preceding her in death were her husband George M. Allen; daughter, Marla Sharon Hornback; brother, Delmer Lewis Hornback; sister Dorothy Hornback.
Surviving are sons, Steven Lee Hornback of Haleyville, AL and Jeffrey Riggs of Louisville; daughter, Symantha Thomas (Billy), of New Salisbury; brothers, Walter Ray Ragland of Leavenworth, IN and Carl Hornback of Munfordville, KY; sisters, Wilma J. Parks of Milltown, IN, Shirley A. Allen, of Taswell, IN, Faye Edwards, of Depauw, IN and Bettie Lee Ragland of Munfordville; grandchildren, Crystal Scott, Devin and Dustin Carrier, Steve Allen and Steven Douglas; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Bradley and Joseph Scott.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, IN, with burial in Central Barren Cemetery. Visitation: 2 - 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
