Marilyn Gustafson, 54, Brainerd, died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at her home because of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS).
She was born Oct. 1, 1944, in Minneapolis to Elmer and Clare (Germundsen) Neby. She worked as a property manager and bookkeeper for her husband's law firm. She was a licensed practical nurse and a licensed pilot. She was a member of Brainerd Service League serving as an officer and board member, Sports Booster Club, Diversified Investment Group and Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Glen; children, Jan Sheady, Mike Gustafson, Brian Gustafson, and Anne Gustafson; three grandchildren; her mother; and a sister, Barbara Seiling.
Her father and a brother, Theodore, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Wermager officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be given to ALS Association.
Friends may call at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday at the church for one hour before the services.
