VELMA E. BIXLER, 77, formerly of Littleton, died June 8 in Mesquite, Texas. Services were June 14 with burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bixler was born Velma Green in Anson, Texas, on Dec. 28, 1919. She married William Loyd Bixler, 1942. She was an elementary school teacher for 32 years. She was a member of Littleton Church of Christ and founded Worldwide Bible Study. Survivors include daughter Sue Yarbrough of Texas; son Harley of Texas; sisters Thelma Leggett, Opha Madden, Emma Buster, all of Texas; three grandchildren.
