Funeral services for Richard James, 74, of Gore will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the House of Prayer Church with the Rev. Laymon Garrison officiating. Burial is at Gum Springs Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. James was born on April 4, 1937, in Gore to Ralph and Aline (Woffard) and died Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Muskogee. He attended school at Gum Springs and Gore and had worked at Strayhorne Landing. Survivors include his children, Ricky James and Roger James, both of Gore, Rhonda White of Conway, Ark., and Janette James of Vian; sisters, Flo Perryman and Sara Pitts; brother, Jack James; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary and brother, Tommy Ray James. Pallbearers are Colen Clark, J.C. Hart, Marty Woffard, Jim Risley, Ralph James and B.J. McElmore.
