Eloise Allard Ward, 88, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, passed away peacefully July 15, 2004. Eloise was a life member of Fairmount Park United Methodist Church in Norfolk. She very much enjoyed her Estabrook Garden Club membership and was also active in community affairs.
Eloise was predeceased by her husband, Henry A. Ward Sr. She leaves behind a son, H. Allen Ward Jr. and wife Pat of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Sharon Byrum and husband Don of Wichita, Kan. and Judy Rubin and husband Bob of Norfolk; grandchildren, Toni and Tam Speach, Shannon and Adam Geyer, Angelo Speach and Erica Brown, Stephen Ward, Angel Byrum, Stuart Ward and Ward Byrum; along with four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Virginia Atkins and sister-in-law, Sue Hudgins.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairmount Park United Methodist Church, 3113 Verdun Ave., Norfolk, VA 23462 or to ones favorite charity. Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
