Donna Ruth Hall Hoston was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 7, 1950 to John Elbert Hall, Sr. and Gloria Jean Thompson Hall.
She attended both Booker T Washington and Hirschi High Schools in Wichita Falls, Texas. After graduation, Donna attended college for two years and then joined the Air Force Reserves.
Donna moved to Grapeland, Texas in the early 1990s to be near her Dad. After moving to the "country" that she loved so much, Donna became a member of the Church of God International under the leadership of Vance Stinson.
She was active in the community, Church, and many local organizations. She enjoyed reading, gardening, making perserves and pickles, and playing dominoes with her friends. She also enjoyed taking care of cows, horses, and her little dog, "Lucky."
Donna had a down to earth personality and never met a stranger. She enjoyed the simple things in life that God gave to us. These are among the many memories that will remain precious to those who loved her.
Donna is preceded in death by her father, John Elbert Hall, Sr., and former husband, Eddie Hoston of Montgomery, Alabama.
Donna leaves behind her mother and stepfather, Gloria and Robert Littleton; daughters, Jerri Dawn Hoston and Latonia Denise Hoston Bolton(Steven) all of Wichita Falls, Texas; sisters, Patricia Thomas of Moreno Valley, California and Geraldine Hall Newsom of Houston, Texas; brother, John Hall Jr of Dallas,Texas; grandchildren, Devan, Daniel and Dylan; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Donna went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2011. She left a beautiful legacy and a lasting impression on the family and many friends she met along the way. She will forever be loved, remembered, and deeply missed.
Graveside Services were Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 1'oclock in the afternoon in the Germany Community Cemetery, Grapeland, Texas with Vance Stinson, Officiation.
