One of Hollywood's most prolific songwriters and motion picture composers of the 1930s and 40s. He wrote, and won an Oscar for, the hit song "Thanks For the Memory," which later became comedian Bob Hope's theme song. Ralph Rainger died in an airplane crash on October 23rd, 1942. (bio by: A.J.
