Louis Newsom Coney was the first husband of Isabella Kaigler. They were married 2 April 1835 in Pike County, Mississippi. He died at the very young age of 28 years old.
Louis and Isabella Coney were the parents of four sons, David Aquilla Coney, Lewis Newsom Coney, John Hancock Coney, and William Jefferson Coney. All four sons fought in War Between the States, and only one survived, David Aquilla Coney.
