Leo M. Blake, 3612 W. Grand Avenue, McHenry, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, at McHenry hospital. He was 77 years old, born March 3, 1903 in the McHenry area, where he lived all his life.

Mr. Blake was employed at the Farmer's Mill, now known as the Farm Service of McHenry, for over 35 years; he then worked in the Janitorial division for McHenry Elementary School District 15 over 15 years; and later became a city employee of McHenry for 5 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, McHenry; C.O.F. Court 594 50-years and Legion of Honor; member of McHenry Moose No. 691 and past member of K. of C. council 1288 of McHenry.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, nee May, whom he married 52 years ago. Sept. 18, 1928, at St. Mary's church. Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Louis (Elaine) Gerding, Glandorf, Ohio; Mrs. John (Dorothy, 'Mitzi') Wolowic, Lake Villa, Ill.; Sister Eleanor, O.S.F. Glendale Heights, Ill.; Mrs. Robert (Marian) Bigelow, Sr., Fort Jennings, Ohio; Mrs. William (Dolores) German, Jr., Delphos, Ohio; and Mrs. Ron (Cookie) Howard, McHenry; three sons, James and Thomas of McHenry and Gerald of Wauconda.

Also surviving are 23 grandchildren two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ben (Anna) Jung, McHenry; and Mrs. Arnold (Isabella) May, Spring Grove; and a brother, Bernard of McHenry.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered by Father James Gaynor, Saturday, 11 a.m., at St. Mary's church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 3 to 9 p.m., at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home, with a Rosary at 4 p.m. and a Wake service at 8.
