James Rowley Rouner 84, for many years a resident of Alexandria, but who has recently made his home at the Madison County Infirmary, died there early this morning of the informities of age. He had been in failing health for several months. He was a native of Trinble County, Kentucky, having been born there in February, 1845. Most of his life, however, had been spent in Indiana. His wife, who was Lucy Ann Marters (Lucy Ann (Lucinda) Marders, was, in fact, his mother. His wife was Mary Catherine) of Kentucky who died in this city a number of years ago and the only near surviving relative is a son, Allen Rouner, of Alexandria. Funeral services will be conducted at the Winfrey Funeral Parlors on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 and burial will be in the Starr Cemetery north of the city.
