| Birth: | 1788 | | Death: | 1863 |  US Congressman. Elected to represent Pennsylvania in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1837 to 1841. Member of Pennsylvania State Legislature. Originally interred in the Union Sixth Street Burial Ground in Philadelphia, his remains were transferred to Arlington Cemetery when that cemetery was closed down in 1906. Original interment at Sixth Street Union Cemetery (aka UBGS), moved with the rest of the cemetery to Philadelphia Memorial Park in 1970.
