Edna Marie Murphy was born Oct 4, 1898 in Emmetsburg, IA. She and her family moved to Bonesteel in 1917 when she was 18 years old. She married Raymond John Taylor Sept 26, 1922 in Bonesteel, Gregory Co., SD. Following the Bonesteel State Bank failure in 1930, where Raymond was Vice President, they moved to Rapid City, SD. Their family is described in detail in notes for Raymond John Taylor. They moved to Rapid City, SD in 1931. After Rays death in 1979 Edna moved to Livermore, Calif. She died Nov 5, 1992 in Livermore, Alarneda Co., California.
Her funeral service was conducted at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City, SD on Nov 9, 1992. Services were conducted by Father William Zandri. Pallbearers were Phil Kelley, F. Bernard Finnegan, Harold Ashland, and Harold Rose. She is buried in Mt. Calvery Cemetery in Rapid City, Pennington Co., SD. with her husband Raymond.
