WIFE OF LEO BAZINET
Brenda S. (Morin) Bazinet, 46, of Mace Avenue, East Winthrop, Maine, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Bazinet was born Aug. 9, 1955, in Tokyo, Japan, and was a daughter of Richard R.J. and Phyllis Morin of Harrisonburg. She graduated from Cony High School in Augusta, Maine, in 1973.
Over the years, she worked at the Kennebec Journal, the Kennebec County Sheriff's Department, YMCA, the American Red Cross and the Hospice of Kennebec Valley. She was a facilitator for the Grieving Children's Program, an adult education instructor and also a first-aid and CPR instructor. For the past seven years, she owned Brenda's Day Care Center.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Leo Bazinet; two daughters, Courtney, 13, and Caitlin, 10, of East Winthrop; a sister, Debra A. Welsford, Hallowell, Maine; a brother, Gary E. Morin, Harrisonburg; a stepdaughter, Leslie Beattie, Topsham, Maine; a stepson, Kevin Bazinet, Augusta, Maine; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
