Albert Douglas
Birth: Apr. 25, 1852
Death: Mar. 14, 1935

U.S. Congressman. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, he graduated from Kenyon College, in 1872, from the law department of Harvard University in 1874, was admitted to the bar in 1874 and commenced to practice law in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was the prosecuting attorney of Ross County, Ohio, (1877-81). In 1907, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixtieth and Sixty-first Congresses, serving until 1911. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he resumed the pratice of law and was appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary to represent the United States at the Centennial of the Independence of Peru, in 1921. He died at age 82 in Washington, D.C. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
