Enterprise, Miss., Jan. 13 - Gage Evans, son of the late Judge Sylvanus Evans,
died at the family residence here last night of typhoid fever at the age of 22
years. The last sad rites were conducted this afternoon by Rev. Dr. Jones,
pastor of the Presbyterian church at Meridian. The remains were followed to the
cemetery by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives."
