Mrs. Charlotte Lady, 96, widow of John C Lady, died Friday evening at 8:36 at the home of her son, George B. Lady, Mt. Alto, from pneumonia.
The deceased was born in Franklin township and was the last survivor of the family of
Bernard and Belle (Crowell) Deardorff. She moved to Franklin county 44 years ago and for the last 19 years had resided with another son, Samuel C. Lady, Chambersburg R.1.
She had been visiting her son, George, when she became ill 10 days ago and had been bedfast since that time.
Mrs. Lady was a member of the United Brethren church, Feterhoff Chapel, Franklin county. Her husband died 21 years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Harry D., Chambersburg; George B., Mt. Alto, and Samuel C., Chambersburg R.1. Five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services Monday afternoon meeting at the Grove funeral home, Waynesboro, at 1:30 conducted by the Revs. H. E. Zech and J. I. Green. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery.
