Elsie J Singley, 87, of McKnightstown, died Saturday morning at Gettysburg Hospital, where she had been a patient for 10 days.
Born in Fairfield, Mrs. Singley was the daughter of the late John and Mary Baker Baker.
Her husband, R Mervin Singely, died in 1971.
She was a member of the McKnightstown United Church of Christ.
She is survived by a daughter, Mildred J Whitney, with whom she lived in McKnightstown; three sons, John M. Sr., Aspers R1; Edward D., of Bendersville; Kermitt S. Sr., Biglerville R1, three brothers,
Emory Baker of Arendtsville; John, of Gettysburg; Donald Baker of East Berlin R1; one sister,
Mrs. John (Pauline) Warrenfeltz of Fairfield R2; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the
Rev. Charles E Falk and the Rev. G Howard Koons officiating. Interment will be at the
Fairfield Union Cemetery.
