Thelma Marie Deibel
Thelma Marie Deibel, 83, Walker, died Monday, April 19, 1999, at the North Country Hospital in Bemidji.
Thelma Marie Deibel was born on February 3, 1916 in Palmyra, Nebraska, daughter of the late Wilbert and Julie Mary (Hart) Deibel. She moved with her family to a small farm southwest of Walker and attended the Walker Public School System. Thelma helped on the farm and then worked at Ah Gwah Ching for several years, retiring in 1975.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Walker, where she was very active, teaching Sunday School and working in the nursery. She enjoyed visiting with friends, relatives, and growing flowers.
She is survived by her sister, Beulah Hendricks of Walker; a nephew, Wilbert Hendricks of Pine River; two grand nieces, eight cousins and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert in 1939 and Julia in 1964.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, 1999 at the Assembly of God Church in Walker with Pastor Steve Snead officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery of Walker.
Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
