Clinton Schaaf married on 16 May 1900 in Coffey Co., Kansas to Ada D. Sturdivan. In about 1904, they moved to Oklahoma, appearing in Texas Co., Oklahoma in 1910 where he worked as a farmer. But in 1911-13, he was living in Manchester, Tennessee. Soon after 1916, they then moved to Porter Co., Indiana, appearing there in Westchester in 1920 and in Chesterton in 1930. Clinton worked there at a steel plant as a shipper and craneman.
