Sarah Martha Matilda Baker, 79, Orrtanna, R1, widow of James L Baker, died Wednesday evening at 6:30 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. And Mrs. Howard Baker, Orrtanna, from a complication of diseases following an illness of nine months.
She was a life long resident of Franklin township and was a daughter of the late Amos and Margaret (Lawver) Fisher. Mr. Baker died 26 years ago. For the last 14 weeks the deceased resided with her daughter.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters; Robert, Willard, Ohio; Amos, Dillsburg; Mrs. Grace Lentz, Harrisburg; Frank, at home, and Mrs. Howard Baker, with whom she resided. Twenty-three grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive.
Brief funeral services from the Allison funeral home, Fairfield, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with further services at 2:00 at Flohr’s Lutheran church conducted by the Rev. George H Berkheimer. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery.
