Gertid Gertie Lee(Clifton(Ward)Ratliff,86,of Mavisdale,Va.died at her home.She was born in Buchanan County,Va.and was the daughter of the late Peregrine White and Louise(Osborn)Clifton.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her first husband--Samuel Ward and her second husband--Eugene Ratliff and a son--Herman Ratliff. Gertie Lee was married to Samuel Ward the first time.She and Samuel had two children--Lexie(Ward)(Miller)Hickman and Lloyd Ward.She was married to Eugene Ratliff the second time.Gertie and Eugene had four children--Hassell Ratliff--Mrs. Luther(Hazel)Meadows,Herman Ratliff and Mrs. Raymond(Helen)Meadows.
