March 28, 1949 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. C.B. Maynard of Sioux City, former Carroll resident, died Saturday at Sioux City after an illness of about 10 days. Burial will be in the Carroll cemetery, with graveside rites between 3 and 3:30 tomorrow afternoon. Rites, with the Eastern Star service, will be held at Sioux City at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Mrs. C.R. Bliss and son, Irving, who were in Sioux City yesterday, are going back for the funeral services.
Mrs. Maynard leaves her husband, a retired Chicago & North Western railway engineer, and three daughters: Mrs. Ray Clark (Marjorie), who arrived in Sioux City by plane from Panama last night; Dr. Helen Henry, wife of Dr. John Henry, of Kansas City; and Mrs. John Boothe (Meredith), who lives in Utah. Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Boothe were in Sioux City at the time of their mother's death.
