We regret to announce the death of Simeon McCall, Esq., one of the most prominent and highly respected citizens of Perry Township, this county, which occurred at his home near West Freedom on Thursday, December 6, 1894, after a brief illness.

For some months past deceased had been afflicted with rheumatism which, causing a complication of diseases, resulted in blood poison, which was the immediate cause of his death.

Mr. McCall was about fifty-five years of age, a man who stood high in the community in which he had lived nearly all his life. He had several times been elected to the office of Justice of the Peace, which office he occupied at the time of his death.

He was a safe counselor, a good neighbor, a kind friend, a loving husband, a devoted father, a consistent Christian man. He leaves a widow, one son and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his demise.

The funeral occurred on last Saturday when the remains were laid to rest in the Concord Presbyterian Cemetery.
