Mrs. Amanda K Deardorff, aged 69 years, widow of Harvey Deardorff, formerly of near Cashtown, died at her home at 5041 Arch Street, Philadelphia, Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Deardorff, who had arisen Wednesday morning and was preparing her breakfast, had a heart attack and was found dead sitting in a chair in her home about 9:00. She live alone.
She was born in Franklin Township, a daughter of the late John A and Mary A (Hartman) Shull. She had been living in Philadelphia during the last twenty-seven years. Her husband died July 31, 1928.
She is survived by one daughter Viola, of Baltimore; three grandchildren and one brother, Robert H Shull, of Cashtown.
Funeral services from the late home in Philadelphia on Friday evening. On Saturday morning the body will be removed from Philadelphia by H B Bender and Son to Flohr’s’ Lutheran Church near McKnightstown, where further services will e held at 11:00 conducted by the Rev. George Berkheimer, of the Gettysburg Lutheran Theological seminary. Interment in the church cemetery.
