Funeral services for Peter C. Glendenning were held Sunday afternoon at the Owen-Elliot chapel with Rev. Richard F. Vick of the Epworth Methodist church officiating. During the services two requested hymns were sung by H. L. Lokensgard with Mrs. S. M. Carlson at the piano. Friends serving as casket-bearers were Robert Beam, Harold Jenkins, Tom Perry, Forrest Rockwood, Frank Cole, Sr., and Mark Jerrow. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery.
OBITUARY
Peter Claude Glendenning was born October 26, 1878, in Mount Ayr [Ringgold Co.], Iowa. In 1899 Mr. Glendenning moved with his parents to the Flathead and was later united in marriage to Helen MacBain. To this union one son was born, Robert B., who is now in the armed forces. Mr. Glendenning was injured in an automobile accident in Spokane a few weeks ago, the result of which caused his death January 4, 1943. Besides his wife and son, he is survived by his step-mother, Mrs. E.[Eliza] A. Glendenning of Columbia Falls; a half-brother, George, of Seattle, and a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Hooper.
