The rosary service will be said at 7 p.m. Today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories. Muffley Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Bargas died Tuesday, July 25, at Plains Medical/Clovis. He was born Jan. 21, 1957, in Clovis. He was raised in Clovis and attended Clovis schools. An athlete, he played football, ran track and was a boxer. He attended Yucca Junior High School and Clovis High School.
He married Sylvia Madrid Lopez on June 6, 1987, and was self-employed as a hay hauler.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bargas, Clovis; four sons, Teddy Bargas Jr., Joey Lopez, Vergil Lopez and Gabriel Lopez, all of Clovis; one daughter, Geneva Quintana, Clovis; three brothers, Mike Bargas, Portales, David Bargas, Midland, Texas, and Mark Bargas, Clovis; three sisters, Gloria McDowell, Liza Bargas and Cindy Quintana, all of Clovis; his grandmother, Emily Garcia, Clovis; and four grandchildren. Casket bearers will be David Bargas, Edward Romero, Mark Bartgas, Gene Lucero, SonnyChavez, Joe Garcia, Bobby Moya and Larry Zamora.
