Samuelson Jr.. 59, of 522
Frederick St., husband of Mrs.
Kathryn Samuelson, died
Saturday at 6 a.m. in the
Veterans Administration
Hospital, Altoona.
His funeral was held today at
Bradford, where he had been
engaged many years in the real
estate business with his brother,
Victor H. Samuelson.
The Rev. Dr. Richard Evans,
pastor of the United
Presbyterian Church in
Bradford, officiated. Burial was
made in Oak Hill Cemetery
there.
Mr. Samuelson was the son of
the late Rev. Emil and Ida
Carlson Samuelson. He was born
at Bradford Sept. 1,1913.
As a young man he attended
the Cincinnati College of
Embalming in Cincinnati, Ohio.
During World War II. he saw
action with the United States
Army in the European Theatre
and the Middle East
His survivors include his wife,
the former Kathryn McDermott
whom he married in 1967: a son
of a former marriage, Robert
Samuelson, of Washington, D.C.:
a sister and two brothers, Mrs.
Gladys Schmidz,. .Liverpool,
N.Y.: Victor, of Bradford: and
Paul, of Wichita, Kansas.

Wed in Lewistown
Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Gehrett Sr.,
of 105 Lombardy Circle, Lewistown,
Pa., announce the marriage of their
daughter, Helen Ruth Briner, to
Emil Samuelson Jr., son of the Rev.
Emil Samuelson, of this city, which
took place at the First Presbyterian
Church, Lewistown, Pa., on Saturday,
Sept. 11th at high noon.
Attending the couple were Miss
Betty Knudsen and William Gehrett,
of Lewistown.
Mrs. Samuelson was formerly employed
by the American Viscose
Corporation of Lewistown. Mr. Samuelson
is employed by the Minard
Run Oil Company of Bradford.
After a wedding trip the couple
will reside in this city where their
apartment is ready for occupancy.
