Good Hope, IL - Edith Viola Howe, 60, of 505 W. Main St. died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at her residence.
Born Nov. 11, 1938, in Good Hope to Howard and Helen Mae Goff Head, she married Gene Howe on July 5, 1957, in Nashua, Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael of Macomb, James of Bureau and Russell of Good Hope; one daughter, Mrs. Rob (Cynthia) Soule of Blandinsville; two brothers, John Head of Middlegrove, Iowa, and Dave Head of Good Hope; and six grandchildren.
She was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church.
She attended Western Illinois University and was an office manager at Pioneer Seed Co. in Good Hope since 1981.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home in Macomb. The Rev. Mary Katheryn Pearce will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home.
Cremation will be accorded following the services. Burial of ashes will be in Good Hope Cemetery at a later date.
