In 1880 he lived with his parents and seven siblings on a farm in Scotland Township, Greene County, IN.

In 1900 he and his wife and their three children lived on a farm they owned, mortgage free, in Black River Township, Butler County, MO.

In 1910 they lived in the same township, possibly the same place, but their farm did have a mortgage on it.

In 1920 he, Martha, Charley, and Blanche lived there, and Zola and her husband Edwin lived next door.

In 1930 just he and his wife lived on a farm on Williamsville Road (now Road JJ, in the northwest corner of the township) in the same township, possibly the same place.
