Zeke Anderson was a graduate of Appalachian State Teachers College, taught school and was a long-term employee of the N.C. Department of Probation and Paroles, retiring as district supervisor in 1979 and returning to his home county. He was a member of Yanceyville Presbyterian Church and Floyd, Va. Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Dan River Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution. He was a charter member of the Caswell County Historical Association and held several offices.
He and his wife of 64 years, Sallie Gibbs Pridgen, are the parents of Samuel Harrison Anderson, Albert Gallatin Anderson, Bettie Slade Anderson Kreplick, Anne Harriet Anderson Whitfield and Julie Lawrence Anderson Smith. Zeke is the brother of Ruth Anderson Howze.
