Chief Kiutus Tecumseh, born Herman Willis Roberts, was a famous Indian tenor, lived in Cashmere and head of the Wenatchee, WA. tribe. His parents were John W Roberts & Julia Bannister. They were both born in Indiana & married there. They had a large family. John's father was from NC. Kiutus was also the great grandson of Chief Tecumseh who fought in the battle of Tippecanoe in 1811.

My mother me Kiutus Tecumseh in the early or mid 1930s. She said he was the handsomest man she'd ever met, and that he had the most beautiful of voices.|
