They lived for a time near Belle and Grovedale MO. where they farmed. They later sold out and moved to Granite City, IL. where they lived until death.
William worked for the Operating Engineers Local at Mitchell,IL., belonged to the Masons at Granite City and he and Clara were members of the Order of the Eastern Star at Granite City.
They were parents of Margueritte Louise who died at the age of nine days; William Verner who married Margueritte Unfried; Elnora who married William Oscar Emery; Lydia Eloise who married Frank Stodnick; Ernold George who married Sally Jean Moore and James Lee who married Pansy Cook.
William died September 6,1964 at Granite City, IL. He was preceeded in death by his wife Clara on August 9,1959.
