Major League Baseball Pitcher and Coach. His professional baseball career lasted for 25 years, from 1890 to 1915. He pitched for the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 1890 and for the Cincinnati Reds in 1895 and 1899-1903. He managed several teams, including the Indianapolis Hoosiers, who won the Federal League championship in 1914, and the Newark Peppers.
