Actress. Born in New York City, she was model whose first job was a commercial for Domino Sugar, when she made her debut as an extra during the silent film era in "Hate" (1917). A veteran of over 80 movies, she is best remembered for playing leading lady to Al Jolson in the first feature-length talking picture, "The Jazz Singer" (1927). Among her credits are "Love Wins" (1920), "Grumpy" (1923), "Ben-Hur" (1925), "The Little Snob" (1928), "The New Pupil" (1940), "Luxury liner" (1948), "Executive Suite" (1954) and "Gun Glory" (1957). She died of a heart attack in Los Angeles, California. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
