George Fisher Parramore, Jr. attended public schools in Northampton County, Virginia through the 9th grade. George worked as a carpenter for the United States Government.

The Northampton Times, Cape Charles, Virginia, Thursday, October 15, 1936, page 5 reported; "GEORGE F. PARRAMORE, JR.---
Funeral services for George F. Parramore, Jr., 42, whose death occurred Saturday night when he was struck by a passing automobile while filling his gas tank alongside the Coastal Highway, were conducted by the Rev. John R. Rosebro, of Holmes Presbyterian Church Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the family residence, "Townfields". Interment was in the burial plot at "Pocahontas" the Parramore homestead at Eastville. [ed. error he was buried in Cape Charles cemetery, Cape Charles, Va.] Pallbearers were brothers of the deceased and a brother-in-law, Mr. William Sterrett, of Rockbridge County, Va. There were many lovely floral tributes, bespeaking the popularity of the deceased and the affectionate sympathy of the community for his family and loved ones.
Mr. Parramore, who was a member of a distinguished Eastern Shore family and a prominently connected in Northampton and Accomac Counties was the son of George F. Parramore and the late Mrs. Parramore, and had made his home here during his entire life. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rebecca Sterrett Parramore, formerly of Rockbridge County; five children, George, 3rd, Reid, Angeline, Thomas and William Parramore; his father; five sisters, Mrs. J.D. Boole, of Exmore, Mrs. Samuel Womble, of Cheriton, Mrs. T. Murray Scott, of Eastville; Mrs. Fred S. Burford, of Laurel, Del., and Miss Josephine Parramore of Washington, D.C.; and five brothers, Thomas Parramore, of Winton, N.C.; William P. Parramore, of Washington, D.C.; Lafayette H. Parramore, of Chester, Pa.; and J. Morrison Parramore, of Newport News."

Same paper, same date on the front page was reported; "MOTOR ACCIDENTS TAKE TOLL/ FOUR LIVES ON WEEK-END/ TWO NEGROES, TWO WHITE/ MEN LOSE LIVES ON/ CO. HIGHWAY/ COUNTY LED STATE/ IN TOTAL DEATHS/ MISTY RAIN CONTRIBUTED TO/ DRIVING DANGERS AFTER/ NIGHT FALL----
At 7:30 o'clock Saturday night, George F. Parramore, Jr., aged 48, of Cheriton, member of a prominent Northampton family, was instantly killed when he was struck down by a care as he was replenishing the gasoline supply of his machine which has run out of gas on the highway about three hundred yards south of ay (ed.- appears a letter is missing) View cross road. A heavy rain was falling at the time and it is thought that as he filled the tank Mr. Parramore was tending between the rear light of his machine and the approaching car. The driver of the machine remained at the scene for some time after the accident but drove off unidentified when Parramore was pronounced dead, State Officer G.C. Upshur was notified and assisted by Sergeant H.D. Ewell of Cape Charles pieced together clues adn placed under arrest Custis Trower, of Cape Charles, locating the man in bed at his home. He at first stoutly protested his innocence but confronted by the evidence at a hearing before Justice W.F.D. Williams Monday morning, confessed and was ordered held in the County Jail, at Eastville, to await action of the November
