Anne spent most of her nursing career in Toronto. She unselfishly returned to Saskatoon and nursed part time which enabled her to live with and care for her aging mother until Mary's death in 1974. Anne then returned to her beloved city of Toronto where she nursed full time at Sunnybrook Hospital (Veterans wing) until her retirement. She eventually moved into Tyndall Seniors Village in Mississauga and was later transferred into their long term nursing facility until her death at the age of 93.
Anne was much loved by her very large extended family, and especially by close friends Veronica Hubbert, Florence Rhody, Tillie Logenhagen, and Dr. Heather Morrison. It is in the Hubbert family plot that Anne herself was laid to rest in 2005.
