From 1931 to 1945 he teamed with his wife Jane Ace to play in the comedy radio program "Easy Aces" (his character was the straightman to his wife's character was "Mistress Misspeack"). He had a successful career as a comedy writer, providing material for early television entertainment figures such as comedian Milton Berle and singer Perry Como.
