Margaret C. "Muggs" Meyers, age 96, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany. She was born in Sauk Centre, Minn., Feb. 25, 1913, to Al and Marie (Wruck) Meyers.
Muggs was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the CCW. She had been employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone for 40 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by her sister, Gert Holtkamp, of Brainerd; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ray, Jay, Del and Don Meyers; and two sisters, Jeanette "Pat" and infant sister, Joan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Roland Antus officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday with rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will continue the hour before service Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are preferred.
Arrangements are with the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
