Major League Baseball Player. He played Major League baseball as an outfielder for eleven seasons (1934 to 1943, 1946 to 1948) with the St. Louis Cardinals. He became a Cardinal the year after the team became the 1934 World Series Champion "Gas House Gang" Cardinals, and also played on the Cardinals 1946 World Series Champion team.
