Mrs. Laura Ludy claimed by death.
Following a serious illness of only six weeks, Mrs. Laura Angelene Ludy, 84, died Wednesday at 9 a. m. at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Martin Koontz, 326 North Howard street, Union City.
For the past 37 years, until her removal six weeks ago to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ludy had lived at her residence at 334 North Union street, Union City.
The deceased was born in Darke county, Ohio on August 26, 1857, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Cook. She spent most of her life in the Union City community and was a member of the Union City United Brethren church, the Esther Sunday school class, Missionary and Ladies Aid societies. Her husband, Harve Ludy, died in 1910.
Survivors include two children, Mrs. Thomas Bedford and Mrs. Martin Koontz, of Union City; two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Johnson, of Dayton, O., and Mrs. Dora Lowe, of Clayton, O., and two brothers, O. B. Cook, of San Jose, Cal., and C. E. Cook, of Greenfield.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at the Brooks funeral home on North Union street, Union City, with Rev. R. B. Ditmyer, pastor of the Union City United Brethren church officiating. Burial will be in the Union City cemetery. Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home to view the remains.
