Best known for being the co-author of the "Ellery Queen" detective novels from 1929 to 1969, which he wrote with his cousin, Frederic Dannay. He also founded the "Ellery Queen Detective Magazine". The Ellery Queen Series went on to more then 125 million sales worldwide. They wrote 35 novels and seven short stories. The books were later the subject of a television series and a long-running radio program.
